2010 Australian Central Community Lottery
The Australian Central Community Lottery is a self help scheme which allows various not-for-profit sporting clubs, schools, community groups and charitable organisations to raise their own money by selling lottery tickets. Participating organisations retain 100% of all proceeds which they generate through the sale of tickets.
There are 165 prizes worth over $280,000 on offer, including a Mitsubishi Outlander XLS Luxury valued at $52,000, a Jurgen Caravan valued at $37,000, a $20,000 Bunniks Tour International Travel Package and a $20,000 Harvey Norman shopping spree.
For the fifth year running, Big W has been selected as one of the Australian Central Community Lottery participants and has chosen the Bone Growth Foundation to be the lucky recipients of all proceeds raised throughout the lottery.
Tickets are on sale from February 1 and close on June 30 and will be available from all Big W check out points. Also, keep an eye out for sausage sizzles being held at Gawler and Cumberland Park.
Tickets are also available for purchase at the Bone Growth Foundation.
The World Tennis Challenge, it's on for young and old!
Sell out crowds for all three nights of the World Tennis Challenge proved that the hottest place to be this summer was at the iconic War Memorial Drive from January 12 – 14, 2010.
The crowd were entertained by past and present players including John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Henri Leconte, Bernard Tomic, Robby Ginepri, Radek Stepanek, Gilles Simon, Mansour Bahrami and surprise late entrant Pat Rafter.
As charity partner to the World Tennis Challenge, the Bone Growth Foundation had the opportunity to host our own courtside corporate facility over the 3 nights.
Each night, 200 BGF guests were entertained with fantastic court entertainment whilst enjoying gourmet food and wine provided by Barossa Fine Foods and Nepenthe Wines.
The event was a great success and all profits raised will go toward supporting our mission to help up to one quarter of a million aussie children to grow up straight and strong.
A big thankyou to all our supporters, in particular Gerard McCabe Jewellers, Barossa Fine Foods, Black Squid Design, Nepenthe Wines and Coopers.

Bone Growth Foundation Annual Dinner 1st of August 2009. National Wine Centre, Adelaide.
300 guests helped celebrate the Bone Growth Foundation’s 18th Birthday in style at the National Wine Centre.
SAFM’s Amber Petty, a BGF ambassador, and Rhett Biglands hosted the event and guests were entertained with a light hearted ‘chat’ between BGF patron John Fitzgerald and SBS commentator David Basheer. Local SA Band, Jungle Jooce then hit the floor and got everyone up and dancing.
Over $27,000 was raised on the night through raffles and auctions. An enormous thankyou to all companies and friends of the BGF who donated items for our auctions and raffles. All monies raised will continue to fund bone research in children.
