Bone Growth Conditions
Many children suffer the effects of bone growth abnormalities and will benefit from our research work. Including children with:
- Bone growth arrest or angulation
- Children born with one limb longer than the other
- Children suffering from scoliosis (10% of all girls are affected in some way)
- Bone dysplasias or dwarfism
- Bone tumours and bone diseases
- Children whose growth has been hindered as a result of chemotherapy treatment
- Hip dislocation
- Hand and foot problems such as club foot
- Neuromuscular disorders such as spina bifida
- Birth injuries
We believe that up to 15% of the population could one day benefit from our research work.
