The Bone Growth Foundation Morning Tea was held on Friday the 29th of October 2010.

There were two parades held throughout the morning, the first parade featuring beautiful fashion from Denim Iniquity of Hyde Park and the second featuring stunning accessories from Etienne of Unley.

Our guests enjoyed sparkling wine kindly donated by 1882 wines, a selection of teas from T-Bar and delicious food by Barossa Fine Foods.

Thanks to all our wonderful supporters, volunteers and guests the day was a great success (despite the rain!) raising over $8,000 to help Aussie kids grow up straight and strong.

The inaugural ISIS / Bone Growth Foundation Golf Day was held on Friday the 22nd of October 2010 at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Golf Course. With a wonderful turn out of 30 teams combined with warm, sunny weather – a great day was had by all.

Golf was followed by a gourmet barbeque lunch in the clubhouse and guests were entertained by speakers including tennis legend, John Fitzgerald and national cricket selector Jamie Cox. We were also joined by Adelaide Crows players, Brent Reilly, Michael Doughty and Ivan Maric.

The day was a great success and we were successful in not only raising the profile of the Foundation, but also in raising $35,000 to go towards further research throughout Australia. We look forward to doing it all again next year!

Finally, congratulations to our winning team including Geoff Bell, Andrew Williams, Stephen Hicks and David Little.

The Bone Growth Foundation says 'thank you' to ISIS for reaching $1,000,000 in donations

After almost seven years of working with the BGF, ISIS has donated over $1million to this remarkable charity. The relationship between ISIS and BGF began in 2004 when the Melbourne office organised a Gala dinner which raised just over $100,000. By 2007, each state was involved with this successful charity.

The last twelve months have been a huge success for ISIS and the BGF. Between the Charity Golf Days in Canberra and Sydney and the Charity Gala Dinner held in Melbourne, ISIS donated over $200,000 in 2009. This means that since 2004, ISIS has raised over $1,000,000 in donations to the Foundation.

The funds raised through these events have gone a long way towards helping the BGF give children the opportunity to live normal, healthy lives. On behalf of the BGF and as a token of their gratitude, Dr Bruce Foster presented ISIS with a sculpture titled Above and Below created by local Melbourne artist Simon Maberley. The piece has been installed in the Melbourne office alongside a plaque with an old Irish proverb that echoes the artwork and reads:

'May the road rise up to meet you... as God holds you in the palm of his hand.'

15,000 Big W hearts beat for Bone Growth Foundation

During the three months of winter, Big W and over 15,000 of its generous customers supported South Australia’s Bone Growth Foundation by purchasing and signing hearts that are placed on the front windows of Big W stores from Mt Gambier to Victor Harbor to Gawler and all metropolitan stores.

This initiative has raised $30,000 to date, which will be invested in research to develop treatments both for children who suffer from crippling growth impairments that can be congenital, or as a result of a fracture or cancer, as well as for people living with osteoporosis.
